1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the LinkedOut browser extension ("Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service & Satire Disclaimer

LinkedOut is a client-side productivity and parody browser extension that translates public corporate posts on LinkedIn into satirical, self-aware, and humorous interpretations.

IMPORTANT: The translations, roasts, classifications, and metrics generated by the Extension are produced using generative artificial intelligence (AI) models. They are intended strictly for humor, parody, and sarcasm. They do not represent factual statements, nor do they reflect the actual intentions, character, or beliefs of the original authors. LinkedOut does not endorse, condone, or support using these translations to harass, defame, or intimidate individuals.

3. "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) Billing Model

LinkedOut operates on a local-first, Bring Your Own Key architecture:

• You must connect your own API keys from supported AI providers (such as Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI) to use the Extension's AI features.
• You are solely responsible for any costs, usage charges, or subscription fees billed by your chosen AI providers resulting from calls made by the Extension.
• LinkedOut does not charge subscription fees, handles no payment processing, and is not responsible for any billing disputes between you and your AI provider.

4. User Conduct & License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for private, personal, non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to:

• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Use the generated satirical translations to bully, stalk, defame, or harass any LinkedIn user.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or bypass the local storage boundaries of the Extension.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH FUTURE VERSIONS OF LINKEDIN. LINKEDIN FREQUENTLY UPDATES ITS INTERFACE, AND DOM SELECTOR SHIFTS MAY TEMPORARILY BREAK OR DEGRADE THE EXTENSION'S FUNCTIONALITY.

6. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL LINKEDOUT OR ITS CREATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, SUSPENSION OF API KEYS, SYSTEM DOWNTIME, OR LINKEDIN ACCOUNT DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your license to use the Extension at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the Extension.
